David E. Allred, the firm's founding member, has 30 years of litigation experience, having practiced for most of that time with a large insurance and corporate defense firm in Montgomery, Alabama and also serving as an Assistant Attorney General with the Alabama Department of Insurance from 1978-79. He has tried over 140 jury cases and handled more than 40 cases on appeal in both state and federal appellate courts throughout Alabama. All of his practice is devoted to litigation with a focus on insurance and corporate defense.

    David is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, holds the rank of Advocate with the American Board of Trial Advocates and is a current member of the Alabama Supreme Court Standing Committee on the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure. David is also recognized as an "AV" rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded by that publication, based on peer review by fellow lawyers and judges. He is also listed in Martindale-Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama, as well as the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He graduated with a B.S. from Auburn University in 1972 and received his J.D. from Jones Law Institute in 1975. David is also a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyer's Association, as well as the Defense Research Institute and Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel.
